any progress with esxi 4.0? I have testcan at work Dell optiplex 755, 3.5 didnt support its nic but 4.0 does!!
i was about get new homeserver myself, very excited about it. administrating is very pleasant thru vSphere client when vmware tools are installed, it beats windows rdp
Its a little box I built for about $300. The MBD is a MSI 945GC with realtek chipsets for audio and LAN. I think that’s what’s giving me the issues. In order to make it work I’m probably going to have to swap that MBD with an all Intel board or build another one just for that purpose. It running a Celeron so I wouldn’t be able to do much more with it as is but I’m fixing to retire a Core2 processor which will drop in nicely.
