Well its with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to … LOL well I can’t quite say it that way. I’ve decided to cancel my EVE Online subscription and head back to Everquest 2. It was pretty easy to do since I have friends playing EQ2 right now and no one I know IRL except the Canadian dude (who wasn’t around much), that helped me get started, plays EVE.
EVE is very fun game at first because it is so drastically different then anything else out there. You need skills to fly ships but those skills can train 23/7/365 while you are playing with the stuff you do qualify for or not playing at all. Progress is swift and steady at first so you get to experience a quickly changing new world but then it all of a sudden comes to a crashing halt when all your skills suddenly cost 5 million (5,000,000) ISK each and they take 6+ days to train to the level you need. This is when a good guild or group of friends would continue to make the game interesting and without that well I just can’t keep playing. If you need a good game that is fun and exciting and you have the need to be able to walk away and still make progress then EVE is a game for you.
Everquest is well Ever”crack” and it will always be so. The grand daddy of all current MMO’s and its child EQ2 is a direct copy with upgraded graphics. Its a fun game to and it will be ever more so because of my friends that I will be able to experience things with. Join us on ventrilo sometime @ vent.equitasguild.org. Email me for the password.
